Alain Nonn was born in Marseilles, France in 1947. He studied art with the famous impressionist artist Pierre Ambrogianni and subsequently developed his own technique. His particular way of applying paint gently and his style have allowed him to be recognized, not only in France, but throughout Europe and North America. He has exhibited at Galeries St-Vincente in Nice, Antinea in Paris, at the Salon des Artistes Français in Honfleur, at Galeries Alfa in Cannes, Daumesnil in Paris and at Galerie Nova in Montreal.
